My Yogic Philosophy

Here's a secret: everything you need is inside of you. There is nothing "out there" that can make you whole or complete. You are already complete and always have been. My mission is to help you remove the "blocks" in your mind that tell you that you are not enough. To reprogram your brain from thinking that something in your life needs to happen in order for you to be happy or that you need to get somewhere to be a better version of yourself. You will spend your whole life chasing around trying to find that thing or experience or monumental break-thru that's going to make you happy. As a healer of my-self, as well as a healer of others, I invite you to begin your journey into self-realization.

Why I Teach Yoga

Present Awakening

Yoga is not a physical exercise. It’s a mind training – an exercise of the mind to become present. Right here, right now. This is the reason why I teach yoga. My students hold me accountable to my word. Teaching and practicing yoga everyday forces me to remain present. I have nowhere to hide. I have to open my heart on a daily basis and share the light and love of the universe.

Yoga is the answer. The question is irrelevant.

Having present awareness will help you awaken from the dream sleep of the Ego mind. By practicing yoga, we start to let go of all the negative “energy” we store in the connective tissues of our body and central nervous system. Furthermore, when we push ourselves to our edge in yoga, many emotions come to the surface. Fear comes up. Self-doubt emerges. Anger rises. Frustration lingers. Self-righteousness takes the center stage. By practicing yoga and pushing ourselves beyond our comfort zone, we can start to confront that “stuck energy” in our body. This grants us the ability to start letting these negative emotions go. The practice of yoga is primarily about dissolving grunthis (blockages) in our chakras, which introduce disease and imbalance into the system by preventing these energy vortexes from functioning at their optimum level.


If not ... you can always wait until your next lifetime.


Yoga keeps you conscious, it keeps you present. The time you spend doing yoga is the spiritual practice you dedicate to yourself and the universe. Yoga makes you take action from the deepest part of your being. You begin to realize you’re part of a bigger consciousness of evolved human beings. The more you practice yoga, the more you realize that you’ve got work to do!


I’ve had the biggest breakthroughs in life when I’m the most vulnerable. When an uncomfortable situation in life calls you out, it grants you the ability to see yourself like never before! This is why I teach yoga, because I can’t run away. I have to confront my SELF.


The truth is, all you’ve got is presence. If you are not present- you aren’t really here. In fact, you are nowhere. So where do you want to be? Do you want to be lost in the mindless dream of the Ego? Or do you want to find present awareness that lasts? Most people find a momentary glimpse of presence until the next Instagram post or text or notification on their phone steals their attention back in the sensory obsessed-mind. As my jetha leader Guru Prem Singh says... the calmness inside of your heart is present awareness. And that is the equilibrium of yoga.

People don't ever really change, but we are capable of evolving.

Let the tapas of yoga (the inner fire) burn out what you no longer need. Sit in the embers and let it burn! Redwood trees have a peculiar adaptation in regard to forest fires- they burn from within while their outer bark is fire resistant. When the fires of life consume you from within (drama) let the flames burn out all of the things that you no longer need. That's called evolution. It's what happens when we learn to grow.

Developing the ability to be still in difficult or uncomfortable yoga poses, helps us to better deal with the difficult situations that life throws at us. If we can’t conjure the strength to stay in a challenging yoga pose, how do we ever expect to get through the real challenges in life? It’s ALL relevant. It’s all a reaction of who we are at the core of our being.
