Reprogram the Body
Restorative Yoga reprograms our muscle memory and rewires our nervous system by allowing us to work deep into the fascia where we store past trauma, negative emotions, and hold onto the past. Through the practice of restorative yoga poses, we are able to release blocked energy in the body that is creating discomfort and disease. Restorative Yoga helps us to break up and release these negative energy patterns so we can be pain free.
Emotional Release
Restorative Yoga Poses are held for 4 – 5 minutes, working deep into the muscle fascia where we harbor our energetic blockages. During a restorative yoga session, different negative emotions that have been buried in our connective tissue are finally able to come up to the surface. Fear comes up, anger, frustration, self-righteousness, fear, worry, anxiety and all the other negative emotions holding us back in life. From a place of peace, we are able to release these blockages.

The Intention Chakra
Manipura Chakra 3 is the center of motivation whereby we set our intentions and desires. In its raw essence, it represents the celestial fire that burns from within. The liberation of energy in the Manipura Chakra motivates change, action, creativity, and spontaneity. Also known as the “Solar Plexus” or “Willpower” Chakra, this powerful energy center instigates change and transformation.
Chakra 3 Balance & Flow
When the power of Manipura is balanced, one achieves their goals, has self-confidence and a strong motivation and sense of direction. With this active energy, people tend to be over-achievers and invoke motivation in others. They are leaders of others and like to take action to make things happen. Their personality reflects a good sense of humor, friendly disposition and generosity. Typically, they possess a strong willpower with a healthy balance of creative intuition.
Chakra 3 Blockages
When the energy of the Manipura Chakra is too strong or out of balance, people can suffer an inflated ego and become very controlling. Likewise, they may come across as bossy, stubborn or aggressive. They have a lack of consideration for others while at the same time they are careless for other people’s feelings. Single-mindedness prevails with a strong connotation for being a “workaholic.” Physically they have a high metabolism and may have difficulty slowing down or relaxing. They display a multitude of scattered creative ideas and are prone to various types of addiction.
Chakra 3 Weakness
A deficiency of energy or weakness in the Manipura Chakra will appear as a lack of motivation or willpower. Mental blocks are accompanied by nervousness and impatience. Those with weakness in the Manipura Chakra have no desire to take action and are stuck in old negative patterns. Physically they suffer fatigue and tiredness and avoid exercise. The depleted energy of this chakra also exudes a lack of confidence and emanates self-doubt. In addition, they are very indecisive and have trouble making any decision of their own volition.
